Because we don't want iOS 7.

At least we didn't want to see it go down like this.

They're literally ruining Steve Jobs idea.

No, YOU don't want iOS 7. What was Steve Job's idea? He told Cook to do what should be done, not what they thought Steve would've wanted. You're trolling here.

If you can tell me that I can, for instance, use a flashlight app with the screen off, and that I can dial out while the flashlight is on, then I'd say they are "big."
Just tried. Works. I used the flashlight toggle on control center then made a phone call. Rejoice.

You seem to care the most out of everyone on these forums since you're constantly posting in these type of threads saying how much you don't care.

Go look at the OP's post history. Only thing he's done is rag on iOS7 and created multiple threads to do so.

The question I have is, does Jony Ive and his team believe their design prinicple's are more important than customer satisfaction? I don't think apple had many issues with iOS and customer satisfaction.

Anyway I blame Tim cook for not doing his job and keeping core talent in the company.

Design principles vs customer satisfaction:
"Our phones lose signals when we hold it. We think it's the antenna design." - customers
"You're holding it wrong." - Steve Jobs

Just sayin' :)

I think Tim Cook has done a great job with Apple post-Steve Jobs. It'd be a tough job for anybody to do and I think he's done alright.

I would like to post around other parts of the forum. (The Macbook Air should've gotten retina.) But my main focus right now is making sure that iOS7 does not come to the iPhone.

Who's we? Who are you speaking for? How many are you? It would have been better if you said "I."

I don't see what's so provocative about saying that iOS 7 is ugly. It's a simple fact. You want me to say it's beautiful? Nope.

You don't have to think iOS 7 is beautiful. But your opinions are not fact, and other people have differing opinions. This is why you're getting so much crap. You keep dictating your point of view as if it is the only one.

Okay, how about this. It's a fact that I think iOS 7 is ugly. I've already told people that I'm not gonna tell you you're stupid for liking it.

Just to be clear:

1. You were able to have the flashlight on, and keep the screen off (which is not possible in iOS6)?

2. While the flashlight is on, you were able to go to the Phone app and dial out and talk for a bit, while the flashlight is still on (and in the background)?

3. Alternatively, you are able to have the flashlight on, go to the text app and send a text out, with the flashlight remaining on?

If you can confirm that these things can be done in iOS7, then nobody will be happier than me :)

Yep. Flashlight stays on no matter what app you're using until you turn it back off in the control center.

And it is a fact that I think this thread is stupid. And don't get me started on you....... *shrugs*..... I like iOS 7 and can't wait for the final release. Whatever...

I was reading this thread, and was not going to post, but when I saw your incredibly generous and kindly statement that you wouldn't call people stupid for liking iOS 7...I just felt I had to tell you how lovely and good hearted that statement is.

You know, some people might think that the statement is a tad arrogant and condescending...but not me. I want to thank you, from the bottom of my ...er...heart for not calling people stupid because they don't agree with you on an esthetic issue.

You are, indeed, a kind and generous person.

(In case you're wondering ------->)

Right, because they never make mistakes. It's not like corporations are made of people or anything.

Yeah, and someone on a discussion forum, and the minority who agree with him/she/it, know more? Pffft. Right.

I just have a feeling that most men stick to their guns when it comes to their platform of choice. Like, you guys say you love Apple no matter what. It kind of makes you wonder why you hate Android guys for doing the same.

Huh? When did this become an Apple fanboy vs Android fanboy issue?

Then you will be a very happy person.

Don't install it on your iPhone. Problem solved.

As far as stopping iOS 7 for everybody else. That won't happen

400 million Apple devices will be turned over by next year. And all the current iOSes will be forgotten. And now we have, the 7.

"That's different."

I personally have concerns about it. As to how I will be able to use it, does Passbook still work as well? Is it fast and responsive?

Is the blinding empty white space practical?

What is iOS7? I don't know. What do you think?

I don't even know what your first comment is about, so...

1. Why wouldn't Passbook work just as well?

2. For the love of all things good and soft, icons do not equal an OS.

3. The white space means nothing. Does the chrome of iOS 6 harm you? No. Neither will the white. The goal is to focus on content!

All these threads and comments make me think the majority of you sit all day staring at your homescreens....Or that it took you months to figure out how to use each app.

The iPhone is a tool and toy -- use it to get work done or for enjoyment. If you are doing that I'd have to think less than 5% of your focus will be on the new white UI and the icons.

It's so amateur though, you go from a glass panel dock to a blur. It looks photoshopped.

Seriously, are those icons actually sitting on a physical plane within the iPhone? No. It's software, where laws of physics aren't applicable. Those icons have every right just to be there. It looks great.
