I went home for a week.

yesterday morning, I logged into wow under my sister's non-admin account, and played some wow. Last night I logged in on my PC and played some wow.

My PC was recently wiped when I installed Windows 7, it was clean a week ago, my room mate didn't use it, and it's clean right now (clean meaning no viruses, as scanned by 2 anti-virus programs).

This means that the hackers got my password from the iMac at home, while I was logged in using my sister's limited account.

What the hell?

Does anyone have experience with hacked accounts, and what to do? Does anyone even understand how this happened?

I got my account hacked once swell, even though I haven't used a PC to play WoW since 2006. The password was mot likely brute forced, the only real way to secure your account is by using a Blizzard Authenticator, which is available as a stand-alone device, and iphone/android apps.

Blizzard doesn't prevent you from logging in if you've entered the wrong password 5 times in a row? eesh, even MR.com has better security!

I guess this means I gotta come up with a harder password!
