Hello MacRusers!
Got my MacBook Air for quite some time now, and wanted to install World of Warcraft. Want to give Cataclysm a shot.
So I grabbed the installer off Batlle.net, installed the files and got Launcher working. It needs to download the 10GB large patch and everything SHOULD be running smooth now.
However, it is not. For some odd reason, Launcher on my Mac is using the CPU at 100%, all the time. This stress the CPU and bumps the fans up to 6000RPM.
I don't know what causes this, I'm downloading with only 500KB/s, but yet it tends to go nuts.
If I press play and just stays standby at the login, the load drops and only uses 15% instead.
Why is this? I thought it could be because it installs simuntaneously while downloading and that uses the CPU. But it doesn't have any problem showing the login screen and download in the background.
That's what I find odd.
I would appreciate any help!
