wow.. maxed out cMP old one.

So i obtained (read FREE) as in my previous post 2 cMP 1,1's for my kids, both equipped with 2 x dual core cpu's. I bought 2 dual X5365 kits from ebay, and just finished the upgrade in 1 the other night, ran a few days of stability stress testing and its running just dandy…

what i couldn't believe was the multi core geek bench 3 score, which is only a few thousand lower than my maxed out 6 core 5,1.

Pretty freaking amazing for such an old box.

Sadly, it will be running only Minecraft.. lol

Since you've done some research I'm sure: what's the max CPUs that old one can handle? Is it the ones you got?

I saw a local ad recently for an old one as well and was playing with the thought of picking it up as a render machine for personal Maxwell and Arnold render projects... IF the CPUs are somewhat upgradeable. But I didn't get around to doing more research.
