WoW runs faster on Leopard.
What proof do you have of this? Not that I doubt you but it seems like its out of the blue.
Uhh...when did it crash he was in it for like 3 seconds in a spaces demo..but whatever. I heard that the new open GL would almost double the preformance as well. I'm very happy about this.Jobs was running WoW in the last WWDC keynote, (and it crashed on him)![]()
I'll be interested to see the performance increase on WoW. I currently have a 9600xt and my FPS isn't that great (~30). If it gave a decent boost to frame rate that would probably satisfy me enough to not buy an x800xt.
Blizzard has been testing on Leopard and it apparently runs very well
I'm more concerned about Ventrilo: Apparently you can't see the channel list in Leopard.
Do not expect to have a faster WoW on Leopard.
I've been playing WoW for about six months in Tiger and with the same computer and a fresh install of Leopard it runs SLOWER.

I've posted a patched version of Ventrilo as well as instructions on how to fix the problem yourself.
Those links are giving me a 404 error, but I assume it's the same solution that was posted on the WoW forums a little while ago (changing something to 20).
Could you take a moment to post what machine you observed this on ?
The Leopard performance story may well vary from system to system (especially on brand new installs where Spotlight indexing is underway).
