Hey guys,

I have a MBA with the following specs: 1.6Ghz Core2Duo, 2GB of ram, X3100 graphics. I wanted to know how would it run wow. I can imagine it would run better in windows but if it is not significant then I dont mind. What do you guys think?

I am not picky I used to run WoW on a 1.2Ghz G4 iBook with an Ati 9200 32mb and 768mb of ram. It used to get 12-16 FPS with everything on low. I just want to get around 20FPS with maybe some eye candy if possible.

I'll guess it's some time since you played WoW? Since it's a much more dermanding game now, atleast my bros iMac G5 (1.8GHz/2GB) doesn't even manage to keep those numbers you had on your iBook.

I guess your MBA will get really hot. I for myself lock FPS @ 30 on my MBP (2.2GHz/4GB/8600mGT) or fan will be at ful blast all the time, i do however have on quite a bit eye candy tho.

I realize I don't quite answer you question, but unfortunately I don't own a MBA :p

PS: I do get 20-30% better FPS in Win XP on the MBP

I just tested it for about 20 mins. With everything on the absolute lowest, outdoors in elwyn forrest my MBA spits out 21-30 FPS in windowed mode, I was also expecting one core to shut down, I even got as high up as 77C but it didnt happen. I am very surprised by these results pleasantly

Scratch that, after about 20 more mins it heats up so much that something called kernel_task ends up taking up all the CPU power and WoW ends up crawling to about 7 or 8 FPS. I wonder if I can get apple to give me a refund or something since this POS MBA cant preform at 100% the whole time.

I run WoW on my 400mhz G4 "Sawtooth". (Seriously!) Tho I must admit it's not "optimal" for raiding.

are you serious? it's nobody's fault but yours that you bought a Macbook Air and you actually thought it could play 3D games for any length of time. It has no ventilation and a crappy video card.

Sell your MBA and buy a new 2.0GHz MacBook. It can run WoW at maximum graphics well. You might even make some money in the transaction. There is no way Apple will give you a refund because you were foolish enough to think the MBA would be a gaming machine.
