I have wow on my pc, i bought it online, installed via download. I would also like to play it when I'm away on my macbook. I tried doing the download on the account manager page of wow's website and I get some kinda error, no permission for storage, I forget the exact thing.

Any ideas how this can be done, or can it?

You should be able to download both versions without any issues. Check all the obvious stuff: Do you have enough space on your hard drive, etc.

Are you getting the error from the Blizzard Downloader app, or at a different point?

Also worth noting is that you might be able to use your existing version without redownloading. I haven't downloaded WoW since the public beta, but back then both versions were bundled together in a single download.

The installer apears to downlaod find, it is once blizzard downloader opens up that i get the error. I have 43gb free so space is not a problem. I'll redownload the install incase that is it. Any other things I should try?

ok, the error message is...
Could not initialize storage. you may not have permission to write to the destination path.

Just to make sure Im doing the right thing, i am trying to download the full world of warcraft client for mac...

I did notice that the website says reinstall. could this have somethign to do with the cd key?

Thanks!

...turns out you have to take the downloader out of the disc image for it to work.

I have had this before 1-2 years back so I cant remember the exact resolution.
I do know i found the answer on the web somewhere.
I think the answer was simply moving the installer to somewhere else on your HD. but double check permissions on installer and that it is read write.
