I guess the stock configs are basically in stocked.

I irdered the $2999 unit last nite at 10pm, shipped today.

Only thing I am not pleased about is rep said they would update shipping to expedited, but it shipped standard, so 3 days of UPS bashing the box ::rolleyes:

Hope they pack it well.
 
They are packed very well. My shipping box looked a little beat up but the actual Mac Pro box was in perfect condition. Congrats on your nMP!

I received in Europe my nMP. Package was perfect even for such long shipping.
Don't worry. Your nMP will arrive to you as if just left the factory.

It's not uncommon that it would get there before 3 days. It seems like a trick I've seen to "exceed expectations" and give you a "warm fuzzy" for almost no cost.

Also, anyone ordering a base config would do well to look at B&H or someplace where you can avoid the sales tax.
 
The local Micro Center has four of the low end configs and two of the mid level configs in stock. They've been that way for a few weeks.
 
I actually negotiated with the business division to match the education price.

$2799 plus $199 Applecare...


Not bad. Cannot wait for this beast.

That will be my computer name I think Beast :)
 
Literally just asked what the best they could do....

tried for another $300 off and they said no way. I settled for this

Same here, Ordered June 10, Shipped the 11th !

I ordered a nMP Tuesday-- went with the 6-Core ! Very excited.
Delivery expected Monday. Looking forward to retiring my C2D 2009, 17" MBP.....

I just wish I could have gotten 1 day shipping.

No option...even agent tried.

Unit showed up in UPS at 9am today...still get it Friday.....

1 more day :)

Congrats on yours. I'm envious of Power, I just got base model:eek:

I've been socking some cash away for nearly 2 years, and when asked what I wanted for X-mas and Birthdays ... I would reply, APPLE GIFT CARDS !

I planned on going with whatever Apple released as far as the nMP is concerned... re-desiign or not.

I like new form factor, and the reviews seem good so far, plus I had enough between the gift cards and the $$ I stashed away to go for the 6-core.
PLUS, if it's possible to upgrade in the future, I figure it was best to get the 6-core version, so I could sell them to someone looking to upgrade the Quad-Core version.

You can tell I've been contemplating this for a LONG time ! ;)
