I *puffy heart* love patch days. Remember when we lost all our mail? That was awesome.

I shall hope for the best while I fear the worst. But hey, cheap mounts!

It ticks me off..I just made 90 pieces of good armor and axes then put them in the AH. Now there is nobody to buy them and the auctions will have expired by the time all realms are up and running.

While i'm glad there's a new patch. Blizzard needs to do something about all the people that put stuff up for auction.

It would be great if Blizzard would refund the AH deposits. They can add up on the big money items.

Well, every Tuesday and I mean every Tuesday there is downtime. Anyone who has played more than a week knows this. It has been this way since 2004.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but putting stuff up on the AH before a Tuesday maintenance day and then complaining it's running out it's auction time is a bit silly.

TMO is reporting Blizzard released patch 3.2. Thank goodness, I thought it was going to be further out and I almost blew a lot of G on riding.

Happy gaming, everyone.
:)

I'm with you, I was thinking the week after Blizzcon.

My Alt Army in Outland will finally be springing for epic mounts. All 7 of them are fast approaching 68, so I dunno if I will spring for flying mounts for all of them right away.

I understand that but todays downtime is excessively longer than the normal ones. Todays was supposed to be done by 11AM now they say 3PM.

That's what I was referring to.

I think they should:

1) Be more realistic with major patch downtimes. It always stretches into the afternoon when it's a X.X patch

2) Have an in-game notification, say 24hrs prior to planned downtimes, declaring that the auctioneers are taking a sick day or etc. Alternatively, they could adjust auction timers to faction in an estimated amount of downtime.

Trade chat is always filled with reports of patch coming soon. Besides, even with regular maintenance, you should know not to put major items up at the AH before a Tuesday. /noob

Mount at lv 20? Duuummbb. Should be minimum level 40. I used to remember the good ol' days when TBC wasn't even out yet.

Fair enough. :)

But, how often are they on time? Usually, they are not. I can count on one hand recently how many times they have come up on time.

The only thing that's relativly quick at Blizzard is when they say it's just rolling restarts instead of maintenance.

I think they don't announce patch days because at the last minute of prep, something could go wrong and they might have to bail on it. It's not until the day of that you know there even going to be a patch.

I avoid all AH transactions (bidding/selling) before any Tues maintenance as a rule, if it's up early it's a nice surprise.

Just before maintenance is the best time to bid on items with only a short time left. You can get lots of items dirt cheap and then resell them that night :).

Most guilds raid on Tuesday nights so Monday is the best day to put consumables on the AH.

Things have gone pretty smoothly here. I'm impressed. I think that's two or three whole patches that haven't been painful ordeals for me. Nothing, as far as I can tell, has spontaneously vanished, and Farstriders has been pretty stable all night.

My favorite bits of this patch:

• Healing and mana potions stack to 20 now! The first time I performed this action, I damn near needed a smoke afterwards. So good.

• Freezing XP is an awesome option that I would have gladly taken long ago. Vanilla content is where it's at, baby. Or at least where I'm usually at.

• Isle of Conquest looks amazing, and I say this as someone who would rather wash the dishes than play battlegrounds. I am totally going to play this, though (whether my G5 will play it is another matter entirely)

• Cheap mounts, 'nuf said.

Couldn't play much yesterday. My server was one of the servers that picked the short straw and needed extra maintenance after the regular and extended maintenance finished.

Luckily, that was only my 1 of 2 servers that I have 80s one. The other server that my DK alt is on worked fine and I'm kinda happy to be DW as a DK again. Did VoA25 and I was surprised to be beating out a 2H-DK in T8 wielding Worldcarver in DPS with my T7.5 gear wielding a Naxx25 MH weapon and a Naxx10 OH weapon.

After that, my main server opened and I finally got to mess aroudn a bit on my lock. Nice to see that lightweave embroider was increased to 295 SP and ring enchants were brought up to +23 SP. I got confused with the Emblems trade in and almost traded in all my Valor for Heroism. Luckily, I caught myself after one trade.

Hopefully today goes a bit smoother

Last night the patch downloaded for me in about 8 minutes. I was expecting a lot worse, as in not being able to download much and being stuck in a queue to get on my usual server. I have to say it was a lot more trouble to update patches when I first install WoW. BTW I updated around 8pm GMT6.

First thing I did was get a better mount. It was like the new mount had nitrous oxide injection.

There also seems to be a couple new features in the interface settings, have to check them out. All in all it was somewhat painless to upgrade.

I like the feature where it tells you the values of items before trying to sell them off. What I dont like is that they made my DK weaker.

On a DK, the patch only really nerfed tanking. DK's were overpowered as far as tanking and many guilds exclusively used DK's to main tank endgame raids. DK's are still great tanks but now they are similar to warriors, pallys, and bear tanks.

Both Ret Paladins and feral druids got also got nerfed but their nerfs were for PvP reasons.

Yeah, I heard DK tanking was toned down a bit, but DPS DK's seemed to have gotten some love. I hear that 51/0/21 Blood is still strong as hell and DW Frost is back. I dunno about Unholy DPS, but I"m sure it's still very strong.

with the 51/0/21 setup which ones would you go with?? I am looking at retooling my DK.

Oh, one more thing I noticed, though I only saw it in passing and may possibly have imagined it; BoP instance loot can now be traded to another player in your group for up to an hour after the fact.

A very welcome change, if this really is the case.

Yep... No more "Woops, I made a mistake and gave the loot to my friend. I'll write a ticket and I'm sure Blizzard will straighten things out and give you the loot eventially".
