A couple of months ago, WoW was running as smooth as butter on my MacPro, but its gotten a bit stuttery, and loading times (when I zone in to an instance, when I release to a graveyard, or when I use a hearthstone) have gotten really long.

Any suggestions?

OpenGl problem

I know that WoW received a different implementation of OpenGL in the last patch and it causes frame rate problems. Hopefully Apple will increase support for OpenGL in the near future or Blizzard will rewrite its code. Does this cause problems in all OpenGL games?
For WoW the solution is to add code to the WTF info. You can find the quote in an earlier post. I used it and it work to improve my FR.

My MBP running on battery only provides 1,3Ghz (half bus speeds) and WOW is still playable with the 9400m (which does the most of the job, Details high @24 FPS which is enough for an 13MBP). I use a tweak for the graphics that was mentioned in the forums some time ago to solve the graphics problems due to the last major update.

For me it takes 5 to 10 seconds to load an instance. Is that what you mentioned "really long" ;) You should have 5 times the power my MBP has.

New content opened up on Tuesday and a LOT of people were hitting the servers pretty hard. There were still issues yesterday with instances being extremely laggy and Dalaran esp. being very lag-tastic. It should settle down soon.

There may also be a hotfix for some server issue causing problems. In any event, be patient.
