It is a very fun (addictive) game. It is only worth it if you have the time to play it a few times a week for at least an hour. It is not the type of game one can just pick up and play for five minutes at a time.

What RTS should I get??Only you can judge whether a game is really going to be of interest to you. You might want to take advantage of the free ten-day WoW trial (warning: huge download) and see if it's to your taste.
I've been playing WoW for a few months now, and I generally enjoy it. It's a massive time sink however, and as I've gotten to the higher (but not highest) levels I've found it increasingly difficult to get good dungeon groups together. This has essentially brought my progress in the game to a screeching halt over the last month or so, and it's beginning to seem a lot like work to get anything accomplished.
So try the trial, but be warned that it's pretty easy to get hooked. And it's not the kind of game that you can just play casually, which makes it particularly evil. All in all, I think I'd rather be playing Starcraft II myself.

Only if you have the time. Especially once you reach the endgame and want to raid.

I quit the game after reaching level 70, then started with some friends on a new server. Playing with 4 friends has made the game fun again, since we always have a group together. Plus, we've leveled exclusively in instances so we have some killer gear. Fun, but watch the time.
I've been playing WoW to close on 2 years now. It's the only game I have ever been able to play for more than a few months. So for me its well worth it.
I find its the people that keep you coming back, I've been in the same guild for most of the time and have some really good friends on WoW. Plus, theres no feeling like downing a boss with your mates that you've you've been working on for a few weeks

I've played WoW for a couple of years and now I'm level 70 and enjoying the endgame stuff. I play every night for a couple of hours at least, and our 10- and 25-man raids run for four hours or more. Gameplay and theorycraft get very complex at high levels, so it's really like a sport - some people go out every night to karate. I play WoW with my guild.
Worth looking at but remember it's not anything like WC3 or SC. It's a first-person RPG that takes a lot of time.

I have been playing for about 2 months now. Some of my freinds had it before and they made me get it. I dont regret it, it is fun, and a good time waster when you are bored. I mostly like it because of the social aspect, if you are on your own, it can get VERY boring. Download the trail is my advice, and if you sort of like it, buy it, it gets alot better when you get past lvl 20, the first few lvls are repetetive.

World of Warcraft is okay I guess. It is pretty poor compared to the older MMOs though. Look into EverQuest if you really want a good MMO
. I've played it off and on since 2002 and loved it all the way through. Had to stop last year though .I decided not to get it, I play enough BF2142 and I still haven't beaten Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, plus I' getting BWii at the end of the month... soo I guess I'm good for now. But does anyone know if C&C3 cider works on an Al iMac? And if that's good.
If you're a casual gamer, no. It takes many months to get to 70, and even then it takes just as long if not longer to get all the gear. It's so damn repetitive it's not even funny.
Unless you plan on making twinks (which is what I did....I dominated the 29 BG's), it's not really worth it.
