Wozniak without Jobs?

A Woz without Jobs would be a homebrew computing fan that would never have made any real money, but probably contributed a lot to the computing world through open source means.
I'd love to see "what if Woz hadn't met Jobs" and see what the world would be like - what Woz would have accomplished through his view of computing being open and free.

Yep, this is a conversation I had countless times and still, no one can know what the outcome would have been. Still, one can argue "what has he brought since leaving Apple?" but I don't agree with that statement either.
From reading his bio, I'm pretty sure he would have stayed at HP. That's what he really wanted to do. He might have contributed to many HP projects, but he would have just been another cog in the machine. His computer would maybe have found a place in folklore, but there would not have been an Apple ][, and certainly no Mac.
There still would have been Commodore PET, Vic 20, 64, Sinclair, CPC, MS-DOS, Linux. Xerox Star would still have existed. There might not have been Amiga. Maybe not Windows.
A more interesting question might be this: what would Steve Jobs have done without Wozniak?
No one can say but It was the balance of Woz's insightful and ingenious designs coupled with Job's salesmanship allowed Apple to happen.
Both people are needed in the equation, and if one was missing something totally different would have occurred.
Generally speaking I think Woz had it right more often then not and he seemed a lot more content and dare I say happier then Jobs was.
Jobs was hugely successful and was certainly a visionary but at what cost. He was a hard man to work for.

Wozniak is just an engineer, you can find his kind under any rock. STEVE JOBS was the Godfather of all computers and smartphones!
Wozniak without jobs would leave him being a computer engineer, or a modder, or an open-source contributor.
