Helo there,
I am looking for software I can use for writing and playback my own drum scores using classic notation (I am a drummer). I have been playing with Garageband and Finale NotePad on a Macintosh using the built in Midi sounds; problem is proper drum sounds won´t play on the score line they are suposed to, like on standard drumkit scores (bass on bottom line, snare on third line, cymbals on top...), instead I am getting whistles, wood blocks and sounds like that. Drumkit notes appear "transposed" underneath the score and in different order than the usual drum key, making composition and reading of this score annoying. I am looking for a way I could assign each line on the score to the expected sound. How could I easely write and play proper drum scores on the Mac? Thanks!
