Wrong icons

If I delete or install something using the iphone it screws up the icon names.

It's happening more and more.

I have been having the same issue though usually around the 6th page or higher, also I didn't experience it on my iPhone 3g only the 3gs

The only way I can resolve it is to un-install and re-install using iTunes.

A real crapper if your app is important and you need to retain the data.

good way to fix it is to sync to itunes then run a restore from backup. all apps will be fine untill you do a hard reset. mines doing the same thing and it's happening to a lot of people. hopefully this issue will be fixed in 3.1

IDK how you expect to fix it, if you're not willing to try suggestions.

In fact I meant to say. I did try the fix and it only lasted for a few days. Now it's back to the wrong icons again.

I'm beginning to wish I never upgraded from my 3G to the 3GS for a variety of reasons.

Oh, okay. You've tried the adding app trick and deleting app trick and the restore was the last thing. You could try a DFU restore though.

Actually re-installing form Itunes fixes the problem. It's bug nevertheless.
