Please excuse my ignorance, but I used FireFTP with FireFox before, and now I can't download the update. I have version 1.5, and I know that I have to allow sites to set/install software, but I can not find the option for the life of me. All mozilla extension sites are set to be allowed. Where the #@*^ is that stupid option hidden!!!

I'm not sure what you're wanting, but you can click here and install the plugin.

Thanks for your help, but all the link does is open a blank window. :(

I am trying to download FireFTP from Mozilla's site using Firefox 1.5.

I remember the "allow sites to install software" box in >1.0.7 but can not find that option for the life of me in 1.5.

If it involves allowing certain specific sites and addresses in the Content menu, then I already tried that too.

Have you tried:

Tools > Options > Content > Tick the "Warn me when web sites try to install extensions or themes"

Hi, yeah I tried that. If I'm not mistaken that is the option that replaced "Allow web sites to install software" in the "Web Options" menu from pre 1.5 versions of Firefox. Although I don't believe that there is an "Option" menu in the "Tools" section of the Mac version of Firefox. I have tried just about everything as far as the Options and Content menus go. Am I missing something?
