Perhaps you should condition it?

Run it all the way down and then recharge it fully without using it.

When it has been calibrated see what it says then.

Nope I'm Swedish

Have you tried to calibrate your battery? As my edited post says :p

If this doesn't help, would it cover my warranty? I mean, losing 23% of the original battery capacity in one night is quite unusual.

I should mention though, that I usually unplug my MacBook at night. I didn't do it this time? Could this be the cause?

JDN, I'm using Coconut Battery.

If it's a faulty battery just give AppleCare a ring and they will replace it.

Call AppleCare at 70102007 and explain the situation.

But first re-calibrate the battery and see if the problem persists.

I really can't calibrate the battery today. Will do tomorrow.

I unfortunately bought this MacBook at Humac in Lyngby:( , which are known for crappy service. Should I call them or AppleCare?

Call Apple. They may send you off to Humac for a replacement battery.

They are just replacing your battery, not "repairing" your computer ;)

Well, I decided to Call AppleCare anyway. They told me not to call Humac:p

They knew of CoconutBattery. They told me I should calibrate and also find out if I could feel a difference in battery life. I got a case number, and I'll call the back tomorrow.

I can already see a difference. Usually it estimates 5 hrs when having 1 windows in Safari, and screen brightness at one bar. Now it says 3.5 hrs?

Sure but try and use it before putting your trust on the estimated remaining time feature of Mac OSX ;)

Well, after 15 minutes, I'm down to 91% running Safari. Looks like it'll last a good 3 hours. Stinks to me. I think I'm in for a replacement battery.:(

At least you haven't been through the hassle I went through with my MacBook Pro ;)

But yeah, I can understand you. Good thing it is only the battery.

I wouldent put too much trust in coconut battery.

Well, when did you last calibrate your battery?

4 months ago, though I take it from 0 to 100% at least once a day sometimes more, I rarely charge it from anything but completely depleted.

She said she wanted me to calibrate it, and check myself if my battery performance had changed. She didn't say anything about it, but I find it to be very excact at most times. As long as you calibrate it once in a while.;)

Sorry for doubleposting (first time I did this:p ), but I just checked Coconut.
