WTH is this Semi-Jailbreak?!?

Pangu (or some group claiming to be Pangu) supposedly came out with a semi-jailbreak for iOS 8.2 up that doesn't seem to do much.

There are some people on 8.2/8.3 that badly want a jailbreak. They are willing to accept something like this until a real untethered jailbreak comes along.

I doubt very much that it is legit.

Also it involves installing a profile, which is a security risk if unsure from whom it is or what is does.

Hmmm…well I've been fooled then.

Thanks for the observations. I'll pay more attention to things next time. The website has the same colors and layout so I didn't bother to look at the web address. Trickery.

yeah, i would wait until one of those 3 verifies the jailbreak, they know whats going on.
