I'm sure it will :) Also nick. sent Apple an e-mail regarding this matter and they usually reply in one day :)

Will they also respond during the weekend? Because every other Apple support is usually not reachable on Saturdays and Sundays...

Oh no, they won't. Sorry, I didn't consider this. They usually reply in one working day :)

Minors?!

Hey, does anybody know if students under 18 need to be accompanied by one of there parents or an adult?

Yes, according to the WWDC page:

All attendees between the ages of 13 and 17 must have their parent or guardian complete and sign the WWDC Permission Statement, which will be provided to you after ticket assignment. Parents or guardians who are accompanying a minor who is attending WWDC may use the Scholarship Lounge at Moscone West, but may not attend sessions or labs, and do not need to purchase a ticket.

Hi, what's anyone in the UK doing about travel and accommodation? Thanks in advance #

I'm from the UK and I'll most likely go with a hotel or something on Airbnb. I'll also probably be staying for at least 9-10 days so I can spend some more time in San Fransisco, visit the headquarters etc. in terms of flights, I was actually pleasantly surprised in regards to the pricing. Looks like British Airways might be the best option.

Thanks for the help, not sure what I'm doing yet. What airport are you flying from?

Huh

I feel so sad cuz I was rejected, listening to you people discuss about your arrangements :(

Come on! Don't feel bad. At all.

Also, note that some winners won't be able to go to the WWDC for various reasons (school exams and lack of money to pay all the expenses) and you may still get a ticket. There seem to be quite a few.

Hmmmm, that made me cheer up a bit :D

I just really wanted to go this year because I have my IGCSE exams next year May through June.

Is that something they've done in the past? Like fill empty spots with people that were previously rejected?

Anyone know to what extent does Apple subsidize travel rates for winners? And has any previous winner's travel expenses been paid by Apple before?

Congrats to all of those who won! And those who didn't, don't stress, there's always next year! I won the scholarship to WWDC 2014 and 2015, so if anybody needs any help or has any questions, DM me @shaandsingh.

Are you sure we will receive something tomorrow? Why do you think so?
Not too sure, but still confident enough :)

However, looking at the thread of the previous year I can't get my hopes up:

In this case I would think "soon" would be something like weeks. Sometime closer to the conference date.
Hey, I just found this email online from last year's WWDC. I think that this is the email that apple will send out with more info. In the email, it says that the conference is only a week away, so expect an email with the info about a week from the conference.

Though, this is the first time Apple may be offering coverage for all the expenses, so things might change.
