I've been looking a bit at the STEM organisations which they are admitting people from. There seems to be quite a few of them, and seeing as how Apple increased the amount of scholarships to increase diversity, I feel like those 150 extra spots are going to be filled by people from the STEM organisations.

Anyone here from one of those organizations?

I agree. Most of them are towards basic coding and web-development.

According to an article on re/code:
“We have quite a number of iOS developers — women who are volunteers for the program — who are interested in applying,” said Jean MacDonald, founder of App Camp for Girls, a Portland, Ore., group that sponsors a week-long summer programming camp for middle school-age girls. “Everybody’s kind of floored by it.”

About 4 days left.

Who else is getting nervous ? :)

I surely am. Winning would probably be the most happy moment of this year, honestly. But I don't want to think too much about that, to not get my hopes up.

You out of all people shouldn't get too nervous though! Your app is insanely good, well done :)

Haha, thanks a lot! I still can't be relaxed until I found out what Apple thinks :)

I got an email from iTunesConnect today and I almost had a heart attack because I thought it was them denying my application.

You never shared yours, did you? :)

I never got the time to record a video. I promise I'll share my app sooner or later. Thanks for asking! :):apple:

At what time will we be notified? I assumed at 5 p.m. but I'm not too sure now. I guess it's the same time of the past years.

I programmed in a feature to my app that notifies me when they've run the app for the first time. Just got notified. The suspense is real.

Damn, i had a server connected drawing board where you could draw something and anyone with the app could see it. I'm scared cause they still haven't drawn anything. :(

They might just not have drawn anything even though they tested the app? But I feel as though they should have..

Yeah I also had a feature where they could message me and I could message back but they haven't seemed to use that either. Maybe it's so they don't tell us if we got in or not until they tell everyone?

What's interesting though is, if they only just now got time to run your app for the first time, doesn't that indicate that there were quite a lot of applications?

I think they still have to review your app because you probably submitted it just a few hours/days before the deadline. :)

I saw your app and I think that when they will review it they won't touch that "Send" button voluntarily.

I guess Apple wants to keep their reviewing process safe and fair. They don't want to tell you when and if they have reviewed your app, nor they don't want to leave any feedback about it. And that's what your "Send" button was for. :)

He submitted the app on the 26th, so we shouldn't worry about that :).

Just submitted my app! Hope I have a chance!

But I don't think that matters, as one was able to resubmit one's application before the deadline. It wouldn't be logical for them to start reviewing apps before the deadline, since those apps may have been withdrawn at any point and resubmitted (as was mine).

They started reviewing apps only after the deadline, but in a chronological order. That'd be pretty logical, but whatever. We will never know :)
