So, last year, as I'm sure we all remember, Apple introduced Swift. Personally I am a big fan, though I'm sure many of us have our own ideas about what sorts of changes or tweaks we want both to the language itself, and Xcode.

Now WWDC is here again a year later. What do you want to see Apple announce with regards its new flagship programming language? What do expect Apple to announce with regards to its new flagship programming language?

I'm curious from the programmers why is swift going open source a big deal? I wouldn't think given it being unique to macs and with other options available for developers to code in they are not likely to abandon ship for swift unless they are making mac only programs in which case I still don't see the relevance.
