Hi, apologies if this has already been asked already but I searched and couldn't find anything. Recently every time I turn on my Mac (OSX Yosemite) I get a popup window saying

"Sorry, the website www.appleiphonecell.com cannot be found."

I don't own an iphone though one of my housemates does.

Anyone have any idea what's causing this?

I think that's related to some wifi routers (cisco?) and their capture/login page. You could try deleting and re-adding your wifi network.

Appleiphonecell does not sound like a legit website... probably some malware trying to open a dead link is my first guess.

Try run a scan through MWB for Mac: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac-download/

Anything detected? Delete anything you find & restart. Any better?

I am getting the same thing. Re-adding wifi network seemed to work briefly but now it is back? malwarebytes says I'm clear and virus scan is clear.
