Hey guys I got a problem and thought someone here would be able to give me answers or guidence. I just started working for a company as their Graphic Designer. I am also expected to do "some" web work. I am comfortable with Web design. I'm not comfortable with the back end stuff, dynamic page creation, PHP, etc.

My situation is this: The web work I do for them is basically taking a flyer/brochure and creating an "identical" web page. The flyer/brochure is created in Adobe Indesign CS2 on a Mac then I have to switch over to a PC to create the web page. They currently do the page creation in Frontpage. I keep telling them that the material can be packaged for GoLive and repurposed for the site in GoLive. They seam hesitant on switching. Is there any reason that any one can tell me why they would use FrontPage?

I've seen multiple problems when I look at the coding for the pages such as no Doc type, junked up coding and so forth. While I know many would recommend Dreamweaver, I Just think that if the info is already created in InDesign and can be easily transferred to GoLive it makes more sense then the current method.

Can anyone give me some pointers on approaching this with them. Or am I missing something with FrontPage.

Thanks-

Nope, front page is CRAP. If possible find a major browser (try Firefox) besides IE and see if their pages fall apart (chances are they do). Then approach them with this evidence as to why golive works better, I prefer dreamweaver myself but, golive is better than front page by a long shot.
