My sister is an artist, and she has been using Visual Site Designer by Coffee Cup to design her website and Photo Gallery for the Flash galleries within the site. The software is pretty powerful, yet not too confusing, and she and I have really made a great website on her PC that is easy to use and doesn't distract from her artwork. We've kept it about the same with some tweaks for almost two and a half years.

However, the software suite has its shortcomings. Since Visual Site Designer is outsourced to another company for software development, and not everything works the way it should. For instance, text never was aligned properly in Mac and some PC browsers and text boxes would overlap. Also, with new updates, some things will stop working completely until the next update. The automatic FTP upload didn't work for her nor any of the users on their support forum. It wasn't fixed until the next update.

Also, since her Dell is five years old, she is getting a Mac, and she doesn't really want to run this is Parallels or Boot Camp. Is there an equivalent of this web software suite on the Mac side?

Thanks.
