Has anyone heard any progress on X-Auto? I can't find anything new and Austin has been somewhat quiet about it. I wonder if it still a live project.

If it is still alive I wonder if it will have both realistic physics and arcade mode.

None, sorry. I had an email from Austin a while ago that mentioned X-Auto was in the works but was somewhat stalled at that time.

the secret project i mentioned? NO, IT IS ==>NOT<== X-Plane 9.. that
is not even scheduled for this year.

It's great to hear from you, Austin!

I hope all is well with you and your development. I will be keeping an eye out for your car sim.

I have a feature request. Can we have arcade physics as well as realistic physics? I sometimes need arcade mode when I''m physically spent.

BTW-
I just downloaded the latest X-Plane update for my Mac. Seems to run fine although I have to admit I am not a X-Plane power user.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Sorry for being a bit late to post, but you guys interested in a car simulator like X-Plane would be interested in http://rigsofrods.com/. It's mainly a truck simulator, but its physics are unbeatable. It's currently only available for Intels with Leopard; my friend has a SR MBP 2.2 and it runs extremely fast on it. A must-see for a realistic vehicle simulator.

Regards,
JDR
