does any one know how to make X the default booting system? my mac came with 9 and x installed and i'd like to be able to turn off my computer every once in a while and not have to boot up 9, go to the startup disk control panel, restart, boot up X, and then bootup 9 again for classic (gotta have my resedit). i usually just keep my mac on to avoid this process, but the occasional crash does happen (gotta have my resedit) and i'd like to think that i'd be saving $ and energy by turning off my computer every so often.

thanks

also, i challenge the owners of the DP 1Ghz to overclock it! first to a 1.5 DP wins!!

Yep, partitions are the only way to go. Oh, unless you have ore than one HD, in which case using different HDs is the only way to go.

Even better, use multiple partitions on multiple HDs! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I have one HD with two partitions, and the other with three. :D

I'm sure that the above responses solve the problem - but just a useful tidbit:

Press "X" when you turn on your computer to boot in osx.
