Since Apple is now back to Mac OS instead of OS X, I doubt they'll jump on the bandwagon.

I don't think Apple could jump on the bandwagon even if they wanted to. The "X" in "Mac OS X" is a Roman numeral (pronounced "Mac OS ten"; not "Mac OS ex"). The "X" in the other two companies is just the letter "ex".
