Okay...so I just got done installing my new x1900 card in my mac pro. it was a breeze, except for the part how i broke off the little plastic snap nob on the power cable connector. (the smaller end that hooks into the actual computer board). I managed to dab a little superglue and put it back on. It was a clean break, so it fit back perfectly. I let it dry, and then snapped it back on. It fits perfectly and snug...Is this okay? maybe i am being too paranoid? was using the dab of superglue okay? Its just plastic, so I am assuming I'm okay...I think it still fits snug even without it...anyone? Also, since I put this in...is my warranty voided?

but no, i'm not joking...just making sure using the superglue on the little snap tab that broke off is legit. Thought of maybe heat and if it would melt the glue at all. Or if that little tab is even that important anyways...

okay, okay...guess it might sound ridiculous. I'm not too concerned...I guess I was just sharing my concerns...if you want to call them that. The question was replace the cable and wait weeks...or jsut superglue the little snap hinge thingie back on. BTW, this thing sounds like a jet when starting up or being used more...I like it!
no, the part is black. Maybe I'm not explaining good. Okay...the black power connector cable the kit comes with...there are two connector ends...a smaller one that connects to the board of the computer, and the larger one that connects to the graphics card. The smaller one has a ethernet-cable-like connector, you know, the little tab that snaps once you push the cable in all the way. Well, imagine that little snap piece braking off. Then glue it back on until dry, and it works again. Thats the concept, though its not exactly like the ethernet plug.
ahh... like the clear tail-like part of the ethernet plug? well you should be fine.. it's not gonna get hot enough to melt the superglue, but you MIGHT want to look into replacing that cable if possible.... i would just because i dont want to have a known defect somewhere that's possible to fix.. that MIGHT affect the applecareejewels52 said:
