Okay, so i've been testing the speed of my Dual G4 tower and my brothers 20" iMac Core Duo, using xBench, and we got some interesting results.

My computer:

Dual 1.25Ghz G4 Tower/167Mhz Frontside Bus
768MB ram
80GB Hard drive
ATI Radeon 9000 Pro/64MB vram

His computer:

2.0Ghz Intel Core Duo/667Mhz Frontside Bus
1GB Ram
250GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon X1600/256vram

The scores:

My computer:

Test 1: 53.19
Test 2: 55.99
Test 3: 55.63
Test 4: 56.22
Test 5: 55.91

His computer:

Test 1: 55.19
Test 2: 57.51
Test 3: 58.59
Test 4: 58.35
Test 5: 57.26

Now, I find these scores believable, because My computer is a tower, and it has a Backside Bus Speed (225Mhz), and a Level 3 Cache.

What do you think of those results, and do you have an explanation for them?

*sigh* sorry for triple posting, but I really need to know whether the iMac can really be just 2 points faster than a Dual G4 or whether Xbench is messed up.

I've always found XBench to be incredibly inaccurate. I wouldn't believe a dang thing it says, especially in regards to newer hardware.
