XBMC and NAS question

I've finally got XBMC up and running on my ATV2. I have a Western Digital My Book Live.

I cannot get XBMC to see the WD drive. Everything works fine through iTunes but I thought XBMC can see these drives. I'm sure i'm doing something wrong.

Any assistance appreciated

How is your WD connected?

In general - just add a new source to the movies folders. When doing that, indicate that that's a neywork location, specify the IP adress (make sure it's static for WD) and select a folder on the WD once connected. Was absolutely straight forward on my ShareSpace.

yeh, set the ip address as static on the my book.

go to add share

smb://(your wd my book ip address here)

got exactly the same setup i done over the weekend.
