I bought a jailbroken ATV2 in December and a couple of days ago XBMC quit working. It crashes a few seconds after loading and returns to the main ATV menu. From what I have researched, it is because of the ATV updater service and easy to fix. But the problem is, the guy who I bought my ATV from changed the default password and I cannot SSH into it. He is not returning phone calls or text messages so I am stuck.
Do I need to reset my ATV and start from scratch?

Does it have NitoTV on it?
if so run updatebegone. Other than that then yeah, prolly will have to re-jailbreak to get ownership of root again.
