I managed to jailbreak my ATV2 running 4.4.4 using Seas0nPass. I then managed to get the Media Centre to recognise my Mac Book Pro and Time Capsule which has an external HD connected. Everything is working fine so far.

However after adding XBMC and getting it running I added Hulu (SFTP from my Mac Book Pro). All good so far. However, while Hulu is working as I am in Ireland the content won't play for me as I am outside the US. On my MBP I can easily get around this by using a Proxy Server.

I see XBMC >System >Settings >Network >Internet Access there is a setting for "Use an HTTP proxy server to access the internet"

I tried to input some proxy server settings that work on my MBP but XBMC would not load anything off the net while I had these switched on!

It it possible for me to use this method to view restricted US content in Ireland?
