Have you tried the Transparency skin?
Seems like the apple tv isn't fond of the transparent elements in Confluence
I have tried it but I don't like that skin. In the latest nightly build all skins perform better than the official release version so I would highly recommend it. Make sure you switch off thumbnails generation to get better performance.
