Xbox controller help

Just bought a new 27" imac and downloaded COD from app store and want to use xbox controller. I have followed previous posts advice on installing controller but still doesnt work.. any help greatly appreciated

Have you tried this driver for the 360 controller?

If it isn't a Microsoft controller it won't work. The only wired controller I have is GameStop branded and I cannot get it to work with my iMac. The driver previously suggested should work with a Microsoft controller.
