I've got loads of HD-DVD's and a great big old Toshiba player. I've seen the Xbox360 HD DVD drive sell for peanuts on e bay. If I were to get one and hook it up to my Mac is it possible to rip the movie for it to be played in Plex etc?

Cheers

Thanks for that :)

Not an easy measure then, so its back to the drawing board for me! lol

Cheers

None of my HD-DVD's worked in MakeMKV. And I think that is a dead end. My solution was PC software AnyDVD run through VMware Fusion. It works fine, but you lose the chapter track and need to manually recreate it in Metadata Hoontenany or Subler.

Did you read the MakeMKV thread I linked to?

Seems like the next version will have better support for HD-DVD's.

I agree through if you have access to AnyDVD on a PC or a virtual box then the process is simple.
