I'm glad Xcode is updated to often, but seriously the size is concerning me. 11.2 GB download for ...
"This update fixes an issue that could cause Xcode to crash when viewing documentation." A clean install is the same size, do they now push the whole package on every update?

I think the updates have been quite large for quite a long time, but I don't really notice to be honest. I don't mind that they're large and are the "full package". The App Store does support delta updating, but if Apple wants to push full reinstall-updates, it just doesn't bother me - but yeah I think it's been like that for a while, hasn't it?

Just installed 12.0.1 update. Under Preferences->Components, the list of Simulators is blank. What can I do about that?

It's pretty disappointing to download a major version on September 17th and then have to do it again a week later because of a major bug. At one time I always downloaded the latest OS and XCode because as a developer I wanted to be sure that my project would work for all users. Bad updates in recent years have caused me to reevaluate this policy.

The crash on view developer documentation was so annoying. My "beta" directory from this summer is 66 GB!
