macOS Xcode Programming Suggestions.

Hi All,
i would like you guys to help me out abit if your willing. i would like to write small POC apps to test my XCode ability. but i have run out of ideas on what i should be doing.

Heres where you guys come in ( i hope ) would you be willing to suggest some simple apps or ideas for demos to give me abit of a challenge to test my abilities.

i asked some of the lads in work with me (the dev team) but for some strange reason they all asked me to write games, that were playable over the network. battleships was a common one. cant imagine while a bunch of developers would want that

Write a simple C preprocessor that checks for common mistakes in C source files (lack of semi-colons, unclosed brackets and braces etc). Remember quotes (single and double), escape sequences and comments.
