Can anyone test your XDR monitor with the X-rite calibration tool and X-rite software to measure uniformity?

Z-rite, unless you have a link?

I guess you need this one.

I've seen almost no hard numbers / calibration measurements on the XDR, but hopefully HDTVTest will have something for us soon:

Is there any more info about the uniformity available?

My Nano-XDR displays solid grey color (as I always set my wallpaper) rather cloudy and on the right side there is a vertical area that appears darker. Not sure if this is as good as it gets or if I should return it or use my Apple Care+.

It doesn’t appear to be relevant when retouching images but at the price I expected better.

(can take images tomorrow)

Hopefully someone has a colorimeter (eg. an i1 Display Pro Plus, which can handle up to 2000cd/m2) and can run it through some uniformity patches in DisplayCal or whatever.

I have a i1 Display Pro at hand. But it‘s 8 years old and should be replaced (waiting for official info which colorimeter to get once the XDR allows custom profiles). I‘m not sure how many nits my colorimeter can measure. Will have a look in the software and see if I can post some results in SDR-mode. (Didn‘t have i1 Software installed because I only used the colorimeter with NECs Spectraview Software)

So, I took some measurements in two modes:
  • D65 Photography

  • Apple Display (P3-500 nits): Max Brightness, Auto brightness off, True Tone on

I assume the colorimeter (i1 Display3) I used can't measure correctly on high brightness, as the second reading shows values similar to the dimmed D65 Photography – that can't be correct. But what the measurements confirmed consistently is that my Nano-XDR isn't uniform in the upper right corner 🤯😔. I noticed this also when looking at a solid grey screen.

I guess I'll have to contact Apple for a replacement 🙄
