Mac Pro's "Xeon Dual-Core" and MacBook's "Core 2 Duo"... What's the difference?

Look them up on wikipedia.

Xeon = workstation version of the Core 2 Duo, faster, hotter etc, able to be used in tandem with another Xeon processor of the same speed and type.

MBP's Core 2 Duo = mobile version of the Core 2 Duo, slower, cooler, can only be used on its own.

Do some research and find out.

Mobile chip

significantly lower TDP

The real difference is quite considerable, Mac Pro feels snappier than the iMac 20" and its saves quite some times on iMovie tests (it is maybe 1.5-2 times faster?)

The only dissapointment about Xeon really are the FB-DIMMs.
