XFX 6870 + MP 1,1 + SL = No displays

Hi there,

I recently have bought a XFX 6870 GPU for my Mac Pro 1,1. I've installed this http://www.groths.org/?p=431

Problem is that my displays are not detected in OSX. (See attached image). I've tried different ports and displays with no luck. I only could get this image with a remote desktop.

If I boot in windows, there's no problem, just OSX. I've been reading and reading and haven't been able to find a solution for this issue. My last hope is that someone here can help me, that would be awesome.

What version of SL are you running? I think it needs a minimum of 10.6.8.

One of the other guys will be able to help you better, but check that first.

Cindori should probably add some warnings To his page. His linked drivers were in Mbp installs of 10.6.6 and 10.6.7 and AFAIR should only be used there. Card should self unit in 10.6.8 or later. Adding old Kexts to those drivers is more likely to BREAK support rather than fix it. Reinstall latest OS Update
