XFX 7950 with no DisplayPort sound?

So I picked up this sub$100 XFX 7950 (single fan) that was listed as parts only, but pulled from a working computer.

Kinda dicey at first. The first time I had it plugged in I got red lines all over the screen. Lots of graphics artifacts. Some random shutdowns. I reset the SMC and the PRAM and now everything seems good to go. Working fine at 3440x1440 via DisplayPort.

The only issue seems to be that there is no audio out via the DisplayPort connector, and HDMI doesn't work? Has anybody had this happen with a card? I've done a bit of searching but I haven't found anything that seems to match. I thought driver support for the ATI cards was baked into the current OS

Omg. Skimmed the thread.

This looks like it’ll be a bit of a project.
Might wait a little while to make sure the card works ok and doesn’t glitch up again.

If the card works ok, I’ll be pretty happy for the price. It makes me realize how old the stock/upgrade 5870 is.
