XFX Radeon 5770 compatibility

Hi guys,

I can get a used XFX 5770 for cheap locally. I know that the 5770 can be flashed to be used on the MP 1.1 but no specific mention of the XFX variant of it.

Has anyone sucessfully done it with an XFX version and if so does all ports work including HDMI?

A link to XFX specific 5770 flashing would be helpful as well.

I found the discussion on the vanilla 5770 on the nektas blogs but no mention if it was sucessful on the XFX variant.

I searched the 5770 thread in there and there seems to be a few people who have successfully flashed the XFX cards.

I think I rather upgrade to Octo Core first since I'm not sure how much benefit I would gain in CS5 and Lightroom with a better GPU.
