My Brother has just taken delivery of the 3 GB-RAM-32GB, he is delighted and it can do everything my iPhone 6 can do.
Cost delivered in 10 days to UK with silicone case and screen protector £131.42

I'm getting worried for apple.

I haven't seriously considered Xioami because they're not officially available in Western markets.
What factors need to be taken into account if considering a Xioami phone for use in Western markets?

Some of the things I wonder,
I presume it does not have Google Play Store pre-installed and it needs to be installed manually?
If this is done, do you still receive system updates from Xioami?
Is there an issue with 4G bands?

Hi
Google Play Store I'm pretty sure (99.99%)was preinstalled, I updated the OS first to 6.0.1 before looking its 100% there now.
There was a MIUI 8 update too. I ran Norton antivirus from Play Store and it said delete app "Browser" NO malware.
My brother is with Tesco Mobile who "piggy back" off O2 B20: 800MHz

"What factors need to be taken into account if considering a Xioami phone for use in Western markets? (UK)"-

Bands the device supports:

4G: FDD LTE B1:2100 / B3: 1800 / B7:2600/ B8: 900 /B20: 800MHz; TD LTE B40:2300

EE: B3: 1800 / B7:2600
Vodafone: B20: 800 / B7:2600
O2:B20: 800
Three: B20: 800 / B3: 1800

So ALL MAJOR 4G NETWORKS covered and will work on this device

The Snapdragon 616 (not this device) with min 3GB seems to get better reviews.

The range is confusing.

Look for Official Global version and check band and buy from high review seller:

"xiaomi redmi 3s gpu is better then the xiaomi redmi 3 pro but xiaomi redmi 3 pro processor is better than xiaomi redmi 3s"
Not sure what implications this has in say chrome with a few windows open?

You definitely speak for the majority of people here, including myself. Nobody wants a phone that spies on you and sends your information to China.

As previously mentioned....
I Installed NORTON anti virus FROM Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.symantec.mobilesecurity all okay except advice to delete app "Browser''
