I saw an ad today for a handheld xm radio on TV as I watched "Hogan knows best". (reality tv sucks but terry hogan is funny) NOW! wouldn't it be cool if you had a slightly bigger ipod nano or regular ipod that could play xm radio programming for the same subcription fee? and! play your paid for music aswell? How do you think they could do it? What are your guys thoughts?

There have been rumors about Apple teaming up with Sirius instead of XM. I doubt this will ever happen though. I have always thought that if Apple wanted to go down this road they would start their own service. My guess is that eventually Apple will buy or lease satellites of their own and broadcast iTunes music/video downloads and paid subscription Podcasts (their version of XM/Sirius). I would also venture to say that if the Cingular phone is successful that Apple will launch their own designed iPhone and possibly their own cell/video/audio service. The word convergence isn't dead yet.
