I am an XM radio subsciber. That subscription includes listening to the stations online. I just logged on to the XM website on the iPhone and was able to open the player. However, it was not able to stream the music (it showed a blue lego where the player would normally be). Does anyone know of a workaround or if this is something that may work after a future firmware update?

I don't know about XM, kind of want to though. But it seems that XM streams audio through flash or some other unsupported plug in. Thats what the blue logo is, just a missing plug in. I am afraid that of now your out of luck. People have been hacking the crap out of the thing, so you never know.

Right, the plugins are missing.

I tried Sirius and it wouldn't work.

Also tried www.somaFM and none of their players would work. One of them was Quicktime and it did nothing.

They need to hack the iPhone to use Firefox, and allow all plugins to be installed. Then we can stream satellite radio.

I am able to stream Sirius to my iPhone using this setup - LINK

The company who makes uSirius also makes uXM, so in theory, it should work with XM as well.

It does take a little while to get it all going, but i've been using mine for weeks and it sounds great.

Thank you. I now have XM radio capability on my iPhone. SWEET!
