I'm planning on buying a MBP in a couple of weeks and wanted to install windows for gaming. I have a copy of xp professional sp2 oem that came with an older computer I had. The disc is still sealed and has a product key so I'm just curious as to whether or not it will work. It has nothing on it to indicate that it's exclusively for HP or Dell or anything like that.

Will this work or will I run into problems installing?

You should be fine-I used an Old DELL OEM version to install on one of my minis without problems. As long as it is just the Windows CD. Some of the "newer" OEM discs have custom installers and won't work correctly because they are looking for specific hardware.
