Xp pro 64-bits with bootcamp on Aluminium MacBook?

Is is worth it? I have 4 gigs of RAM and use bootcamp mainly for gaming (Fallout 3).

Will i be able to install the drivers on the OS X dvd?

XP Pro 64-bit isn't supported by Boot Camp. Might work some, might not.
Vista is the first 64-bit OS supported by Boot Camp.

I've done it with 64-bit Vista on my imac (which doesn't technically "support 64bit ), theres a simple way to determine if you can run it or not. Google your processor and see if the specs support 64bit architecture, if it does then chances are you can do it. Just download the drivers you need for it which could also prove to be a more complicated problem than I am assuming, it's pretty easy to torrent the drivers though.

i've got xp x64 running on my late 2007 mbp. You have to install everything manually but i got everything but the keyboard alt functions to work. With the key remapper you can get most of them working. Basically the only thing that won't work is the backlight control and the keyboard backlight control. Everything else works fine.

Anyway, yeah, XP is dead. If you must have a new OS now, get Vista 64. Otherwise, if you have XP and haven't bought a new disc, then hold on to XP and wait for Windows 7 (slated for later this year I believe). Whatever you do, don't waste your money on XP again. And stick with 64-bit. 32-bit is also dead.

XP 64bit is pretty much useless due to lack of drivers.

64bit is better with vista. However some 32bit games stutters on 64bit windows.

Mac Pro comes with 64bit drivers.

A common missconseption is that xp64 drivers don't exist. The only one missing is the one apple hasn't written for the hotkeys. Everything else works fine.

I don't know about running games on it though.....all i know is it will get bloody hot!!!
