XP Pro in bootcamp running hot!

Just installed xp pro sp2 tonight on my 2.2 MB Pro in bootcamp. While everything works so far, the machine is extremely hot and the fans don't seem to be running? I'm on AC while doing all the updates, etc and even idle, it's hot. While it gets warm in OS X, the fans bring things under control fairly quickly.

I don't see anywhere to change power usage or fan settings in windows...is this normal?

my quick advice is smcfancontrol before reboot

thanx Aki,

I had downloaded smc control but it kept saying it was the wrong version. Then googled and discovered that I was using an old version 1.2.3. Now with 2.1 managing to get things dialed in a bit better.
