XP to VISTA upgrade

Just a quick query on upgrading my current partition from XP to Vista:
(I have leopard)

Do I have to erase the current partition?
Is this done through the bootcamp in leopard?

Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

just pop in your vista disk when your in xp like you would with a regular windows computer
