Hi just wordering what the best way to go from XP to Vista? To use the bootcamp remove tool and then start the whole process of installing windows again or can u just load windows and install over?

I do need to make the partition bigger, 8GB sure isn't enough for XP so doubt it is big enough for Vista, so as I need to make that bigger is the uninstalling XP my only option?

You'll need about 12GB's just for vista itself. I made my partition 16GB's to leave 4GB free space.

However, if you had enough space, yes you can upgrade XP to Vista. Also during the Vista install you can format the XP install and install Vista fresh, with no need to use the bootcamp assistant.

Personally, I'd just erase the XP partition and install the Vista fresh...that way won't have to worry about everything getting messed up. Fresh install is the way to go.
