Hello,

A friend has just phoned to see if i can help them with a XP computer problem... But i only use Mac.

The problem is:
He has dial-up for internet. Now everything seems to be working fine as it can connect to the "internet"... HOWEVER...
Internet Explorer doesn't connect. Each page come up with 'This page cannot be displayed'... I'm not 100% sure, but it means that its not connected, no webpage will show. BUT the e-mail works. He can send and recieve them, but for some strange reason Internet Explorer doesn't want to "connect"

Any ideas or solutions?

THANKS

Check proxy settings. Also, you might want to install Firefox and see if that works (insure that something isn't blocking the WWW ports; 80 & 443)
